JOB SUMMARY:
Leads, manages, directs, and oversees all activities related to the development, production, promotion, dissemination, analysis, organization, and management of SEARCA's Knowledge Resources, including the management and maintenance of SEARCA website and other web-based learning and knowledge resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads in the packaging, verification, quality assurance, distribution, exchange, dissemination, and other identification, scoping, negotiation, and peer review of SEARCA-generated technical/academic publications such as journals, primers, monographs, books, and other Center publications or knowledge output.
- Plans and manages the promotion and marketing of SEARCA publications and other knowledge output to increase their usage and visibility.
- Develops and implements strategies for promotional activities of SEARCA Knowledge Products and cost-efficient distribution and dissemination of SEARCA publications and other knowledge output.
- Oversees the development, management, and maintenance of all SEARCA knowledge output-dissemination channels, including the Center’s website and other web-based learning and knowledge resources.
- Ensures quality and timeliness of materials/contents for the SEARCA website.
- Ensures data collection on the usage, customer feedback, and other aspects of SEARCA publications and other knowledge output and analyzes them for trends and other insights for further improvement.
- Ensures fast retrieval of stored information and provision of services from the library and archives by using available modern information communication technology.
- Leads in the coordination of activities, budget management, progress monitoring, resource and expense monitoring, and contingency management.
- Oversees the Center’s knowledge repositories, including its library, archives, and photo collections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Educational Attainment:
Master’s Degree in Development/Mass Communication, Information Communication Technology or related field.
Minimum Work Experience:
With eight (8) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a similar capacity, 3 years in a supervisory function; experience in a similar development organization is an advantage.
Required Skills:
- Excellent oral and written English communication, interpersonal, and client orientation skills.
- Excellent leadership, operations management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in media communication and design.
- Proven experience in end-to-end program/project management: from business development and proposal writing, planning, and presentation to execution, managing unexpected setbacks as well as client expectations and measuring success.
- Proven track record successfully managing knowledge management and/or multimedia communications service delivery teams.
- Highly skilled in establishing and maintaining networks/partnerships with foreign and local institutions.
