Project Title: Combined Endline and Baseline Evaluation Study for the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Assessing the Original Loan (OL), First Additional Financing (AF1) and Second Additional Financing (AF2) and Establishing Baseline for PRPD Scale-Up  

Project Duration: Contracted until 31 August 2025

Terms of reference:

The Project Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and logistical assistance to the Project Leader and Consultants. Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to the following: 

  1. Assists in the logistical and administrative preparation for fieldwork, workshops, meetings, and project-related activities;
  2. Provide administrative support to the research team under the guidance of the Project Administrative Assistant (Consultant);
  3. Manage procurement and monitor project budget and disbursements and preparation of administrative and financial reports;
  4. Maintain an organized system for filing and record-keeping of all project documents and correspondence.
  5. Perform other duties as needed. 

Minimum qualifications:

Educational background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or other related fields.

Work experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative and logistical support, preferably in government or donor-funded projects.

Skills and competencies:

  1. Knowledge of financial management, including preparation of financial claims and compliance with funder guidelines.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with basic accounting tools or systems.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized filing and record-keeping system.
  4. Demonstrated experience in procurement processes, budget monitoring, and disbursement documentation.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Other requirements:

  • Can start immediately.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites for fieldwork and coordination meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Can efficiently work under pressure.
